Legal and Ethical Issues

   Creative Commons helps to enable sharing of your knowledge and creativity.  Their Copyright licenses provide a way to help give the public permission to share and use your creative work.
   Should information be free? the answer for this question is yes and no. My reason for "No" is we shouldn't obtain information such as movies, music ,etc. If we were to download these things for free we will be damaging who ever are selling these items sales. We are hurting the owner instead of supporting them. For yes, i think information should be free. Not everyone can buy movies, music or other things. We rather spend it on something important. We have websites and other programs that help us get these information for free without any trouble. In the article "Piracy, computer crime, and IS misuse at the university" they discuss about how students are able to obtain free information and agree to doing them. Not many people are afraid to committing piracy.

Security and Privacy

In the artticle i read, http://news.cnet.com/8301-1009_3-57618283-83/target-works-on-security-heavy-credit-cards-after-breach/ it talks about a massive security branch that Target is still reeling from. The company was hacked and affected as many as 110 million customers. Their information such as names, mailing addresses,debit and credit cards, etc, were able to be seen by the hackers. The article also states that the credit cards have tiny microprocessor chips which helps to strengthen the security to make it difficult for the hackers to access your account. From reading this, the security of credit cards with the microprocessors will keep developing and making it difficult to hack into. The UK and Canada already have a more secure technology called chip-enabled smartcards which isn't spread through out the entire US, but from seeing security increase i think that also hackers will improve and have other methods to hack into personal information. I have read and seen videos that in the near future that we will be seeing microchips being implanted into people hands where the credit cards won't be needed and all of your information will be in that microchip. The microchip will have a tracker and will be able to identify which disease you have or will have. But this is rumors and I myself don't know when will it happen or will it. To learn something as the microchip it scares me how technology is increasing and how it may affect us, either it will be good or bad.
